Allowable Grant Activities
Funds are intended to support cultural organizations that provide humanities programming and who are facing hardships due to closures and economic impacts related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

American Rescue Plan: Humanities Grants for Native Cultural Institutions


Through two rounds of funding, the ATALM-NEH SHARP Program provided $3.71 million for 118 grant awards for Native Cultural organizations in 29 states. Funding for these grants is provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 passed by the U.S. Congress.
